GMCC’s 2019 Social Rides

There has never been a better time to explore Greater Manchester by bike. Led by GMCC members our social rides are a good chance to get out and find some low traffic routes that you may or may not know about and meet other campaigners for a relaxed cycle ride.

The rides happen on the first Wednesday of the month from April to October. Each month we explore a different part of Greater Manchester, ending at a pub where you can enjoy some good food with other like minded people.

Our monthly rides are designed for riders of all abilities. cycling at a gentle pace.

Dates for 2019 are:

Wednesday 3rd April: Aston Canal via Velodrome and Yellow Brick Road, ending at Vale Cottage, Gorton.

Wednesday 1st May: Exploring the Wilmslow Road, ending at The Fletcher Moss in Didsbury

Wednesday 5th June: The River Irwell & Clifton Country Park – Ending at The Horseshoe in Ringley

Wednesday 3rd July: Discovering the Mersey Valley – Ending at Jackson’s Boat in Sale

Wednesday 7th August: The highest point in Manchester, Heaton Park, ending at The Woodthorpe in Prestwich

Wednesday 4th September: Ashton-Under-Lyne Park Bridge, ending at The Woodhouse Gardens in Woodhouses

Wednesday 2nd October: All aboard for Chorlton & the Fallowfield loop, ending at Station South in Levenshulme
