GMCC Social Rides 2013
GMCC holds monthly social bike rides during summertime, usually on the penultimate Thursday of the month.
Rides go from Manchester city centre to various destinations around Greater Manchester.
Discover pleasant, low traffic routes out of the city, and visit places with scenic, cultural and historical interest.
The rides always call at a café, pub or restaurant for sustenance, liquid refreshments and plenty of cycling chat!
Provisional dates and destinations for 2013 are as follows:
March 21st – Vale Cottage, Gorton
April 18th – Fletcher Moss, Didsbury
May 23rd – Oxford Road, Platt Fields & re-opened Trans-Pennine Trail in Didsbury
June 20th – Heaton Park & The Woodthorpe
July 18th – Park Bridge & The Hartshead
August 22nd – Clifton Country Park & The Horseshoe
September 19th – Canals to Worsley
October 24th – Mersey Valley / Chorlton
Meet at Albert Square, Manchester city centre, from 5.30pm for a 6pm departure.
No need to join or sign up, just turn up and ride.
We ride at a gentle pace with a ride leader and back marker.
