What’s fluorescent yellow and very polite ?
Please Give Cyclists Room signs are cropping up all over the city. This one appeared a few months ago on the northbound side of Manchester Road in Cheadle. It’s certainly much needed on this two lane, 40 mph stretch of road, where to get to and from South Manchester, over the river and the M60, cyclists have no choice but to compete for space with every kind of motorised traffic, including regular convoys of forty tonne lorries.
And last week it got a southbound companion.
But there’s something of a mystery about where the signs come from, and how you might go about getting one put up at your favourite blackspot. Anyone who can throw light on this, please Contact us
